Moira Dillon
Moira Dillon is the principal and founder of Supreme Law Group – the first boutique law firm in Canada dedicated exclusively to the practice of Supreme Court agency law. Moira graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. She also has an honours degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Toronto. After being called to the Bar of Ontario in 1996, Moira practised law with the Ottawa office of a large, national firm. As a Supreme Court of Canada agent, Moira offers strategic advice, drafting, and agency services on leave applications, responses, motions, and appeals. Moira has assisted lawyers in a diverse range of matters before the Court, including criminal and constitutional law, labour law, intellectual property, contracts, torts, and commercial law.
Law Clerks
Steven van Dijk
SLG’s senior law clerk is Steven van Dijk. Steven has over 20 years of experience providing Supreme Court agency services. He has extensive experience with all aspects of document preparation, production, and rule compliance. Steven’s education includes a B.A. in English and a B.A. in History from McMaster University, as well as a B.Ed. from the University of Ottawa.
Nick Frizzell
Nick Frizzell has over 6 years of experience working as a Supreme Court agency law clerk. As SLG’s technology expert, Nick is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Court’s electronic filing requirements, including the production and bookmarking of electronic documents. He also has primary responsibility for serving and filing court documents. Nick graduated in 2005 with a legal assistant’s diploma from CDI College.
